About the City Council
The Woodlake City Council consists of five members and are elected by the voters for four-year terms. The terms are staggered so that every two years, the voters will either vote for two or three positions. The five Council members will then appoint a Mayor and a Vice-Mayor. The Council also appoints representatives to other boards to represent Woodlake’s interests. Other boards include the Tulare County Association of Governments (TCAG), Tulare County Economic Development Corporation (EDC), Tulare County Business Incentive Zone and the City Planning Commission. The City Council is also responsible for the appointment of the City Administrator and the City Clerk.
